Meet Eloise Brown: Accountancy Service Manager and hula-hooping champ

We spoke with Eloise Brown, an Accountancy Service Manager who's been with Crunch for nine years! She’s not just a whiz with numbers—she’s also a dedicated leader, a problem-solver, and as it turns out, a bit of a hula-hooping legend.
Inside the role of an Accountancy Service Manager
1. Can you tell us a little bit about your role here at Crunch?
Of course! As an Accountancy Service Manager, my job is to help deliver great accountancy and tax services, making sure our clients have the best experience possible.
I also support the accountancy team in hitting business goals, managing workloads, and handling more complex client cases. Collaboration is key, so I work closely with other departments to keep things running smoothly.
2. What does a typical day in your life look like?
No two days are ever the same! My time is split between supporting my team, answering client and colleague queries, reviewing work, and working on projects that improve the way we do things. Staying flexible is essential since the needs of the department can shift daily.
3. It sounds like you have a lot of variety in your role. Can you tell us about a recent project you’ve worked on that you’re proud of?
Towards the end of 2024, I created a shared accountancy drive for the team. The goal was to give accountants easy access to process guides, package details, and training documents.
Since we deal with such a variety of queries, having everything in one place ensures consistency and saves time. Ultimately, it helps us deliver a high standard of service to every client.
4. It sounds like you’re really passionate! Can you give us an example of how you go above and beyond for your team and clients?
For me, it’s about being present and supportive. I make sure I’m available to my team, whether they need help solving a problem, want to share an idea, or just need a sounding board.
With clients, I focus on understanding their needs and providing clear, tailored advice. Communication and trust are everything.

5. Tell us an interesting fact about yourself!
Over the last year, I’ve started growing my own fruit and vegetables and even made my own elderflower ‘champagne’ last summer. It was recently ready to try and it turned out to be dangerously delicious!
6. Wow - that’s amazing! Do you have any hidden talents?
I love to hula-hoop! Many years ago I won a skydive in a hula-hooping contest while away travelling and I'm still living on that glory
