As the country starts to get back to some semblance of ‘normal’, we’re incredibly happy that award season is almost upon us. And we’re even more delighted to announce that within the last week, Crunch has been shortlisted for four sought-after awards!
After such an unpredictable 2020-21, none of these nominations and successes would be possible without our amazing teams in every single department here at Crunch, who work hard every single day to ensure our clients receive the high standards of service they should expect from their accountants.
Accounting Tech of the Year (UK FinTech Awards)
At Crunch, we believe we have the best microbusiness accounting software, with at-a-glance tax liabilities and the easiest dividend issuing process in the online accountancy market.
Because we want to keep it that way, we pour over £1.5m annually into research and development and making our software and service even better. The upgrades and improvements we have made this year - including the unveiling of Crunch Free - have been reflected in our UK FinTech Awards nomination for Accounting Tech of the Year.
Online Initiative of the Year (UK FinTech Awards)
We also produce one of the UK’s most popular accountancy and tax blogs for small businesses, aimed at simplifying self-employment with almost 500 jargon-free articles to help people set up and run their own businesses. Our timely and jargon-free Covid support content had over 174,000 page views in 2020, a year that saw us attract over 8 million page views on the website.
With all this in mind, we’re very proud to have been nominated for Online Initiative of the Year.
The in-person ceremony takes place in London on 22nd July 2021.
Best Customer Service (Brighton & Hove Business Awards)
While we provide high-quality accounting software and service to over 11,000 self-employed people all across the UK, Crunch employs nearly 200 people here at our base in Sussex, and we’re proud of the great reputation we’ve built up over the years in our local community.
Even with the pandemic and the swift transition to home working for all our team in March 2020, 95% of phone calls are still handled within 30 seconds. Our helpful webinars and revamped Help Centre have proved very popular, and our independent Trustpilot rating is at 4.5 stars with over 600 reviews.
As a company whose entire ethos is empowering our clients, recognition of outstanding customer service via this award nomination is music to our ears.
Innovation in Business (Brighton & Hove Business Awards)
For those freelancers, contractors, and small businesses looking to dip their toe in the water of accounting software, our aforementioned new Crunch Free offering allows limited company directors and sole traders to create, manage, and update invoices and expenses, and manage their bookkeeping anytime, anywhere.
This is the first time sole traders have been able to use our Crunch software that was built in-house, and this means the flow between client feedback and product development has been greatly streamlined.
We’re always looking to demonstrate our commitment to making things simple for business owners, allowing them to focus on what they love - and are thrilled to be nominated for the Innovation in Business award.
Winners will be announced at the ceremony on June 24th, hosted by well-loved TV broadcaster Natasha Kaplinsky, winner of the first series of Strictly Come Dancing.
