We have an exciting, brand new and permanent Operational Training Coordinator role in our Operations team!

This role is a hybrid role, so it’s possible to perform this role from home most of the time as most of our training is done remotely. There will be an occasional requirement for office working at either of our Brighton & Hove co-working space locations as required and discussed in advance. You may also prefer to be office based most or all of the time and this is also fine with us!

Due to the occasional and ad-hoc requirement for office working, living within a reasonable travelling distance of Brighton & Hove is recommended.

About the role:

Crunch operates in a mainly remote or hybrid way, so it’s vital that we have quality operational training in place that aligns with this way of working and sets our teams up for success.This role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of internal training to our client-facing teams, in accordance with the agreed training plan and the Crunch resource plan for hiring new starters throughout the year.This role will also create and maintain a directory of Crunch processes to ensure continuity of service across teams. They will also help to influence senior managers to invest in enhancing our client-facing team experience, through a commitment to ongoing learning and development in roles at the forefront of our client journey.

Role responsibilities:

  • Manage the day to day operational training function in Crunch, including line management of the Operational Trainers, prioritisation of training requests and team workload.
  • Work with the Operational Trainers to create high impact coaching and training sessions using a blend of engaging media and materials.
  • Work closely with the client facing management teams and the People Team to identify operational training needs, design impactful learning interventions and suitable times to roll out training programmes.
  • Anticipate training requirements as part of upcoming system or process changes impacting on client facing teams.
  • Regularly liaise with the People Team, and in particular the People Development Manager, to ensure learning priorities are aligned with wider business needs and centrally managed budgets, and the training materials have the correct branding, tone of voice, consistency of messaging delivery and clear learning outcomes.
  • Review and work with relevant stakeholders in Crunch business functions to update operational workflows and process maps to ensure they are up to date working documents.
  • Maintain a live directory of training process guides and ensure these are accessible in a central repository for our business training documents accessible as required by relevant team members.
  • Gather feedback from the evaluations of our team’s learning experiences, identifying areas of improvement to resolve our team or client issues and providing a catalyst for roadmap and project activity.
  • Liaise with Subject Matter Experts in client facing departments, who could support with some elements of delivery of training and/or creating or updating our process guides.
  • Support with facilitation of remote induction training for new starters and training for existing team members in the absence of the Operational Trainer, or where wide-scale, intensive training is needed.
  • Produce data insights that show progress with metrics such as delivery of learning outcomes, completion of training, and tracking any further or anniversary training that may be required in client facing departments.
  • Identify efficiencies that could be gained as the operational training team evolves, and embrace the usage of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to save time for the team.
  • Consider accessibility of training taking into account individual learning needs or requirements and make adjustments where possible.
  • Keep up to date with external developments in training delivery and how similar businesses upskill their teams to drive business results.
  • Complete periodic audits of training records and return on investment of training for all client facing team members. This will include completion of Essentials compliance training managed by the People Team.
  • Identify learning and development needs for the team in conjunction with the Operational Trainers and the People Team.
  • Set objectives and targets for direct reports in your team, measuring progress and embrace the optimisation of the Hibob system for setting and tracking company and department goals, conducting reviews and 121’s.

About your skills and experience:

Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience as a training coordinator or manager, ideally responsible for operational training in a service environment.
  • A Train the Trainer qualification through a recognised external training provider (for external candidates only, this training will be provided for internal candidates.)
  • Experience of training delivery and facilitation for mainly remote or hybrid teams (some classroom training possible.)
  • Experience of using collaboration tools for remote training, such as Google Classroom, Google Meet etc.
  • Previous experience in a training administration role, in particular completion of process guides and maintaining training records.
  • A passion for creating learning and development experiences and engaging with others to deliver effective content.
  • Accustomed to using technology such as learning management systems and online repositories for training materials in a paperless environment.
  • Ability to interpret insights from training data and present these in an engaging way.
  • Excellent IT skills, in particular intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 and/or Google Suite packages.

Desirable:

  • A coaching or facilitation skills qualification through a recognised external training provider.
  • Previous line management experience, ideally of one or more trainers.
  • Experience of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools such as ChatGPT, or Google Gemini.

Other information:

  • The usual working hours are Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30.
  • You need to be able to work from home in a comfortable, private environment, with a solid internet connection (a minimum of 10-12 Mbps upload speed) and a suitable desk and chair.
  • We'll provide you with all the IT equipment you need to get set up before you start with us - so there's no need to supply your own.
  • You would visit our offices in the Brighton & Hove area before your first day to collect your IT equipment.
