About Crunch:

Crunch is a multi-award winning Software as a Service (SaaS) company born in the heart of Brighton with a brilliant team of 130, and over 40,000 users of our software. Together, we single-handedly pioneered a complete online accounting solution to empower self-employed contractors, freelancers and micro-businesses in the UK, helping them to grow their business and create the lives they want as part of a powerful community.

Now we no longer have a large office base as we embrace remote-first ways of working, the role offers you the opportunity to work remotely all the time. Or there is a mixture of office and remote working if you would prefer this, as we have some temporary office space in the Brighton & Hove area.

We have an exciting new permanent Data Insight Analyst to expand this area and support our Senior Data Insight Analyst in our Transformation & Product team!

About the role:

This specialist role impacts on all business functions, helping Crunch to develop a clear vision, mission and strategy with data analytics in mind, and facilitates meaningful and accurate data driven decision making at Crunch in order to maximise business performance and enable growth.

Role responsibilities:

  • Be the ‘go to’ person for routine and ad-hoc company wide and department specific data insight analysis activities.
  • Support business leaders on suitable tools to collect and measure quantitative data and provide qualitative insights to agreed timescales.
  • Work in partnership with key stakeholders across all cross functional teams to influence roadmaps and shape business strategy, projects and initiatives, in particular delivery of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
  • Understand the essential key business metrics required by Crunch across all business functions, prioritise focus areas and utilise a wide range of data sources in standalone or integrated third party and internal systems.
  • Design, establish and maintain business planning and reporting tools such as performance dashboards and business intelligence tools and ensure information is accessible, concise and accurate.
  • Present data, insights and narratives in a logical and engaging way that can be consistently interpreted across all business functions, identifying trends and patterns, showing current situations and enabling actionable recommendations for improvement to be made.
  • Explore and support with our client profiling and segmentation activity and maximise the data available within our systems.
  • Work closely with the rest of the Transformation and Product team to drive efficiency, establish best practices and be an active contributor to the ‘discovery’ and ‘benefits realisation’ phases of business projects and initiatives.
  • Keep up to date with external trends for data insight and analysis to ensure awareness of developments and advances in technology.
  • Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement and be flexible as the role evolves and grows.
  • Embrace the usage of the Hibob system, which is being used by Crunch to complete regular 121 and review conversations, and for setting and tracking company and department Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
