Bio

Richard is the founder and Commercial Director of Transmit, which operates the Transmit Startups and Smarta brands.

He founded his first business, a music promotion company called Funky Slug Promotions, in 1990 and has been running companies ever since. He got into business finance after spending a number of years mentoring other founders and helping with their growth strategies. This naturally progressed into business finance when Transmit Startups became a delivery partner for the British Business bank's Start Up Loans programme.
